Project: Red Wing Housing and Redevelopment Authority
Jordan Tower II Building Entrance Upgrades
Location: Red Wing, Minnesota
Area: 104 Units
Jordan Tower I high-rise is an existing 9 story public housing facility originally constructed in 1978 located in Red Wing, Minnesota. Providing save access to the building while increasing handicap access was the goal of this project. The existing facility was plagued by unsafe exterior stairs and poor access for the disabled. A new drop off area was created in the street with a more direct code compliant handicap access to the main building entry. The exterior stairs to the lower level were replaced to provide a safe approach from the street level to the lower level building entry. Landscape lighting and retaining walls were added for safety maintenance and visual appeal.
